We advise organisations where technology, data and regulation meet in a single system, contract or proceeding.

Law closer to technology projects

Kanban Lawyers supports organisations that develop technology, deliver IT projects and operate in regulated sectors.
The firm is led by Michał Bugajło – an attorney-at-law (radca prawny) whose experience spans enterprise IT, consulting, AI governance and the public sector.
He spent nearly 13 years with the Comarch Group, one of Poland’s largest IT companies, including almost a decade as an attorney-at-law, and then served as Head of Legal for KPMG’s Consulting practice. As Acting Director of the Legal Department at Poland’s national e-Health Centre (Centrum e-Zdrowia), he was responsible for legal support of the national AI programme for public healthcare – one of the largest AI initiatives in the Polish public sector. He is also the founder of IP Protector – a consulting and technology company working in AI, data, intellectual property and compliance, which also develops its own technology platform built on Hyperledger Fabric.
Kanban Lawyers combines legal expertise with a practical understanding of technology, governance and the realities of complex IT projects. We work with Polish and international clients, in English where needed, and collaborate with foreign law firms on cross-border matters.
Legal advice remains at the core of our work. Depending on the nature of the project, we bring in experts in technology, compliance and cybersecurity who help ground each matter in its technological reality.

Where the name
Kanban Lawyers comes from

Kanban is a way of organising work based on flow, transparency and a pace matched to the actual state of a project – widely used by software development teams. The firm’s name draws on these principles and reflects our approach:
We work to the rhythm of the projects we support, handle matters in stages and stay close to delivery – so that the law is part of the flow, not its bottleneck.

Large-scale, complex projects
Selected projects from the founder’s experience – from the firm’s work and from previous roles in business, consulting and the public sector.
Two entities,
two scopes

Kanban Lawyers is a law firm run by an attorney-at-law (kancelaria radcy prawnego) and provides legal services. Some of our clients’ needs, however, go beyond legal advice and call for regulatory requirements to be put into practice. These are handled by IP Protector – a consulting and technology company affiliated with the firm, which implements management systems, processes and technology solutions that support compliance. It is a separate entity with a separate scope. We keep this separation deliberately – so that it is clear where legal advice ends and implementation support begins.
